Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation - Payments in the Plague Year, and beyond

Why you should watch:

The Covid crisis has accelerated changes that were already underway in the payments space - particularly the move from cash, but also the move from plastic to mobile phones. However, the Wirecard scandal (though it was - emphatically - not a technology problem) has also exposed regulatory issues that need to be addressed, and the slump in global remittances has re-emphasised just how expensive cross-border transfers can be. An important discussion - with three leading figures in the payments industry.
